Introduction
Asthma is a common and potentially life threatening respiratory condition with a high burden in the paedatric population. In addition to understanding the pathophysiology of asthma, this module provides students with the tools to identify precipitating triggers, assess asthma severity and employ immediate management. Case examples are provided to allow students to apply their new knowledge and students are also encouraged to develop an ongoing asthma plan.
